◊ PROGRESSIVE CODING
progressive coding
A way to send an {image} gradually to a receiver
instead of all at once so that the receiver first receives a
low {resolution} version of the image and susbsequent data
increases the {resolution}.
{JBIG} uses {progressive coding}.
